National Poetry Month: Day Twenty


Lunch

While we ate our salads
and laughed and talked
the sky darkened
and the tops of the trees
began their slow sway
in the wind
and the rain
washed the whole world clean.

Very descriptive. Its a short-and-bitter-sweet poem, so to speak.
